Qualifications

• Prefer shipping experience.
• Prefer forklift certification OR must be forklift certified within first 90 days of start date.
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of transportation functions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task.
• Must be able to perform heavy lifting and stand for long periods.
• Basic math skills.
• Legible handwriting and good comprehension.

Responsibilities

• Constant heavy lifting required (up to 40 lbs.).
• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Assemble wooden or cardboard containers.
• Prepares skid shipments for transit.
• Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
• Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
• Verifies shipments meet customers specifications.
• Maintains packaging materials inventory and organization, as needed.
• Stocks and pulls outsourcing materials, as needed.
• Weights, counts, and packs finished parts/compounds.
• Labels, inventories, organizes, and moves materials, as needed.
• Assists in all aspects of shipping.
• Cycle counting.
• Operates forklift daily.
• Performs as a floater throughout the facility, as needed.
• Maintain good housekeeping.
• Other duties, as assigned.
