Job summary

Red Seal Recruiting Ltd. is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Harlan, Iowa. The role involves verifying outgoing shipments and keeping accurate records, and preparing items for shipment according to orders.

You will handle packing, labeling, container assembly, and basic clerical tasks. Forklift and overhead crane training is provided, and prior shipping/receiving experience is valued. Attention to detail, safe handling, and adherence to SDS/Hazcom shipping rules are required to ensure

Qualifications

1-2 years of hands-on shipping and receiving experience.
Forklift experience is a plus; training provided.
Overhead crane experience is a plus; training provided.
Experience with measurement devices is required.
Crating or carpentry experience is a plus; training provided.
Export paperwork experience is a plus.
Understanding SDS/Hazcom shipping regulations.

Responsibilities

Verify and keep records on outgoing shipments against bills of lading and invoices.
Determine shipment methods and affix labels on cartons.
Assemble or select containers and prepare items for shipment.
Move shipments using forklift or hand-truck.
Maintain inventory of shipping materials.
Review shipping notices and prioritize by schedules.
Inspect shipments for accuracy and condition.
Perform clerical tasks such as data entry and filing.
Deliver incoming goods to respective departments.
