Job summary

The Torrey Holistics shipping/receiving clerk position is based in Minnesota. You will unpack and inspect incoming shipments, prepare items for shipment, and verify records in our ERP system.

You’ll operate forklifts and ensure accuracy of inventory, collaborating with production scheduling and quality control to meet deadlines. Ideal candidates have at least two years shipping/receiving experience, are detail oriented, and able to read work orders and shipping documents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of shipping and receiving experience.
• Experience with UPS WorldShip and FedEx software.
• LTL experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Must read and interpret safety rules and shipping instructions.

Responsibilities

• Unpack and examine incoming shipments; reject damaged items.
• Verify and record incoming/outgoing shipments.
• Prepare items for shipment.
• Examine outgoing shipments for quality and specs.
• Maintain inventory accuracy in stock and WIP.

Job description

The shipping/receiving clerk is responsible for receiving incoming materials and preparing products for shipment. Writes up or checks necessary paperwork in connection with shipments to ensure proper shipment. May check incoming packages for damage and count. The shipping/receiving clerk will also perform general warehouse work using material moving/handling equipment to store materials in designated areas. Has knowledge of warehouse layout and the safe operations of material moving and handling equipment including 2-wheeler, pallet jack, or motorized forklift.
