Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site Shipping & Receiving and Crate Builder role located in Saginaw, MI. The role involves preparing and building crates and packaging to safely secure industrial equipment and parts for domestic and international shipments. Responsibilities include receiving incoming materials, verifying quantities and documentation, and organizing items in designated storage areas. The position also manages outgoing shipments by picking orders, packing equipment, labeling, and coordinating with carriers. Day‑to‑day tasks include operating forklifts and related material‑handling equipment, maintaining accurate inventory records, and keeping shipping, receiving, and warehouse areas clean, safe, and organized. The team member will collaborate with production and office staff to meet shipping schedules and ensure equipment is protected and delivered on time.

Qualifications

• Shipping & Receiving skills, including experience with shipping documentation, and handling incoming and outgoing materials.
• Packing and Shipping skills to build crates, secure equipment, and prepare items for safe transport using appropriate materials and methods.
• Forklift Operation skills, including safe use of forklifts and other material‑handling equipment, with current or obtainable certification.
• Inventory Control skills to track materials, perform counts, update inventory systems, and maintain organized storage areas.
• Ability to read and follow packing lists, work orders, and basic drawings or blue print diagrams for crate construction.
• Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to lift and move heavy items as required by the role.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work reliably in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
• Prior experience in industrial or manufacturing shipping/receiving preferred; high school diploma or equivalent beneficial.
