Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies in Garden Grove, CA is hiring for a full-time packaging associate. You will be responsible for measuring, weighing, counting, inspecting containers and ensuring packing specifications are met. You will record information, seal items, and prepare cartons for shipment.

This role requires attention to detail, the ability to stand for long periods, and PPE usage. Reports to Department Supervisor and is on 1st shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to wear PPE (safety glasses).
• Standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
• Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure packing specifications are met.
• Ensure documentation is kept with materials and recorded on forms.
• Seal containers using stretch wrap, tape, and other materials.
• Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers with hand tools.
• Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas.
• Follow supervisor instructions for specific tasks.
• Ensure integrity of parts after processing (damage, scratches, etc.).
• Visually inspect parts to ensure the process is complete correctly.

The majority of work is performed in a manufacturing setting.

This position requires access to knowledge and technical data regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Valence Surface Technologies is required to verify that applicants meet ITAR requirements prior to employment for this role.
