Job summary

PennEngineering is seeking a Warehouse Specialist to join the Haeger Team in Shelby Township, MI. You will work in a fast-paced environment handling incoming/outgoing shipping operations, preparing work orders, and performing cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.

You will collaborate with teams to ensure on-time delivery, maintain detailed logs, and support a safe, efficient warehouse workflow. This role offers opportunities for growth within the manufacturing and engineering environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months logistics or warehouse experience preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (JDE preferred).
• Inventory control practices.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Forklift certified.

Responsibilities

• Organize shipping, receiving, inventory, and materials areas.
• Pull on-time work orders and kits with 100% accuracy to BOM.
• Count inventory items and verify against shipping documents in JD Edwards.
• Coordinate with inventory team on RMAs and inventory accuracy.
• Ensure sales orders are pulled and packed to meet shipping deadlines.
• Operate hand tools to prepare machine crates for shipments.
• Track and update status of incoming/outgoing shipments.

What You Will Do

The warehouse specialist will work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and accuracy are critical. This role will be responsible for incoming/outgoing shipping operations within the facility. Members of this team are responsible for preparing work orders, preparing finished assemblies, and performing cycle counts of inventory to ensure accuracy.

• Organizing the shipping, receiving, inventory, and materials areas


• Guaranteeing that all work orders and kits are pulled on time and 100% accurate to the engineering BOM


• Receiving and counting inventory items accurately against shipping documentation before entry into the JD Edwards system


• Patterning with the inventory team to manage and assess RMA items so they are received promptly and assigned to their appropriate warehouses


• Performing cycle counts to achieve an inventory that is 100% accurate


• Ensuring sales orders are pulled and packed efficiently to meet the shipping cut off time


• Using hand tools to prepare machine crates for the shipments


• Tracking, tracing, and updating the status of incoming and outgoing shipments


• Unloading trucks and deliveries and sorting and stocking receivables promptly
  
• Maintaining an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately


• Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude


• Other duties as necessary

Requirements

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• High school diploma or GED


• 6 months of logistics or customer service experience and/or relevant warehouse experience


• Familiarity with ERP systems (JDE preferred)


• Inventory control practices


• Good written and verbal communication skills


• Work independently and perform tasks with limited supervision


• Flexible to work overtime if necessary


• Strong sense of time organization and urgency


• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office preferred


• Forklift certified
