Job description

Reporting to a Supervisory or Managerial Staff Member within the facility, the Shipper/Receiver is responsible for receiving products, managing their movement through the facility during processing, and loading products onto trailers for return to customers.

Responsibilities/Duties

1. Receive incoming unprocessed products, verify customer counts and lot numbers, note damages, and record information in the computer system.
2. Operate forklift to unload palletized products from trucks; manually unload and palletize floor-loaded cartons for storage.
3. Transport products via forklift within the facility for processing.
4. Extract samples from customer products and coordinate their shipment.
5. Optionally, shrink-wrap palletized finished products for return.
6. Coordinate with trucking companies for pickup of finished products.
7. Load palletized products onto trailers using forklifts.
8. Assist with other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications/Experience Required/Special Skills

1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. Preferred: 6 months to 1 year of warehouse experience.
3. Preferred: 6 months to 1 year of forklift operation experience.
4. Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
5. Willingness to work established shifts.
6. Proficient with computers and data analysis in databases/spreadsheets.
7. Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending and lifting.

Training Required

• Complete all required training for a "Shipping/Receiving Operator" as outlined in the training manual.

Pay & Benefits

Pay Rate: $21.50 per hour.
