Job summary

Ardent Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Shipper/Receiver for an immediate opportunity in Hudson, MA. This hands-on role involves preparing shipments, receiving materials, and maintaining accurate records.

You will use ERP and shipping software, with basic Microsoft Office skills, and support other areas of operations as needed. Ideal candidates have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and good teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of related experience preferred.
• Associate degree or related certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare merchandise and materials for outgoing shipments.
• Receive and process incoming materials and deliveries.
• Review invoices, bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping documents for accuracy.
• Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
• Use computer systems to process, track, log, verify, and report shipments.
• Coordinate freight and maintain required shipping documentation.
• Communicate with management, Quality, Security, customers, vendors, and other departments.
• Assist throughout the manufacturing operation as needed.

Job description

Ardent Staffing Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Shipper/Receiver for an immediate opportunity with a leading manufacturing company in Hudson, MA.

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys staying busy, working as part of a team, and taking ownership of shipping and receiving responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be dependable, organized, comfortable using computer systems, and willing to assist in other areas of the operation when needed.

Responsibilities

Prepare merchandise and materials for outgoing shipments

Receive and process incoming materials and deliveries

Review invoices, bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping documents for accuracy

Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records

Use computer systems to process, track, log, verify, and report shipments

Coordinate freight and maintain required shipping documentation

Communicate with management, Quality, Security, customers, vendors, and other departments

Perform basic assembly and woodworking using hand tools and basic power tools

Assist throughout the manufacturing operation as needed

Periodically drive a company vehicle to transfer materials locally

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Qualifications

Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred

Comfortable working with computers

Basic Microsoft Office skills

ERP and shipping/carrier system experience is a plus

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Good communication and teamwork skills

Forklift/fork truck experience preferred, or willingness to be trained

Valid driver's license with a good driving record

Ability to regularly lift up to 70 lbs

Comfortable standing, walking, bending, squatting, and climbing throughout the workday

Must be willing to wear steel-toe or other required protective footwear

Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Education & Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent required

4+ years of related experience preferred

Associate degree or related certification is a plus

Schedule

Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–4:00 PM

Candidates should have some flexibility to work overtime when needed to support late shipments or business demands.
