Job summary

MW Industries, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate II. You will verify, pre-pack, document, and package parts per special instructions, then ship springs and other wire-forms to customers or processes.

The role requires two years in shipping/receiving, forklift/pallet jack experience, and familiarity with packing lists and shipping documents. You will work in a team, lift up to 30 lbs, and maintain an organized workspace.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Verify and match job/PO to material and route to quality if necessary
• Pre-package parts in appropriate quantity per releases
• Read packaging instructions and follow special shipping requests
• Package for outside processes and file paperwork for purchasing
• Collect documentation to accompany parts from quality or customer service
• Print pick lists and follow packaging requests
• Label and disposition parts to correct area
• Maintain a clean, organized work area
• Perform other tasks as requested

Job description

The Shipping & Receiving Associate II will verify, pre-package, document, package per special instructions, and ship springs and other wire-forms.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Verify and match job/P.O. to plater/broker material that comes in from UPS or carrier and send to quality if necessary.
• Bring parts that have been accepted from quality to the shipping area.
• When parts come back from quality or come in from the platers and do not require a quality check; look in Syteline for order due date to see if job/order is late or needs to be located in inventory for a future shipment.
• Pre-package parts in appropriate quantity if multiple releases.
• Read jobs for specific instructions for packaging requirements, special request, or process that needs to be completed before shipping.
• Package for any outside process and put paperwork in job tray to purchasing.
• Get all proper documentation to be sent with parts from quality or customer service.
• Print out pick list and follow any packaging request or special instructions from customer service.
• Package parts in the appropriate size box, label, and disposition to the correct area or location.
• Process paperwork accordingly and place with parts or in shipping tray.
• Keep a clean and organized work area.
• Other tasks as requested

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material handling.
• Experience using forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar equipment
• Intermediate understanding of logistics, freight carriers, and warehouse procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret packing lists, purchase orders, work orders, and shipping documents.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
