Job summary

MW Industries, Inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking a Material Handler to maintain warehouse stock, fulfill customer orders, and organize inventory.

You will review production schedules, perform cycle counts, move goods with equipment, and pack products for shipment. Experience with MRP/ERP and UPS/FedEx software is preferred; forklift certification is a plus and training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Review production schedules, pull material, and deliver to workstations.
• Verify material quantities and quality, complete ERP receipts.
• Maintain and organize raw material inventory and finished goods stock.
• Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Collaborate with inventory control to determine stock needs.
• Pack products for shipping and prepare for dispatch.
• Move goods using hand trucks and other material handling equipment.
• Operate forklift within the facility as needed.
• Support warehouse team with day-to-day tasks.

Job description

The Material Handler will maintain warehouse stock, fulfill customer orders, and organize and maintain existing inventory.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Review raw material production schedules, pull material, and deliver to individual workstations.
• Verify incoming material quantity/quality requirements, put away, and complete ERP receipt transactions.
• Maintains and organizes raw material inventory.
• Perform inventory cycle counts
• Collaborate with inventory control to determine when product stock is needed.
• Pack products to ready them for shipments.
• Moves goods interdepartmentally utilizing hand trucks and other material handling equipment.
• Maintains and organizes finished product stock.
• Operate Forklift within the facility to transport product.

SKILLS and ABILITIES

• Solid interpersonal skills.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• Experience working with a MRP/ERP environment.
• Hands-on experience with picking, packing, and inventory control.
• Experience with UPS and FedEx shipping software.
• Forklift Certified a plus, will train if needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Move/Lift/Carry up to 50 pounds.
• Standing up to 8+ hours per day.
