Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Rockport Works is hiring Production Technicians for the Shipping Department. You will inspect packaging, receive and load materials for shipment by truck or rail, ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the process.

The role requires a background in manufacturing, a willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts, and the ability to operate in diverse environments. Compelling compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing experience with material flow and WIP handling.
• Willing to work a rotating 4 on 4 off (12-hour) schedule.
• Ability to work in multiple environments including indoor and outdoor slag-based fields.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect material on arrival for damage.
• Package material according to order specifications.
• Maintain accurate inventory locations.
• Ensure storage facilities preserve product quality.
• Correct identification and storage of inbound material.
• Load outbound material by rail or truck according to specifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
