Job summary

RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Material Associate I to join the shipping department. You will handle general packing bench tasks, review shipping documentation, ensure parts are properly packaged, apply correct labeling, and process shipments in the SAP system while creating customer portal entries and maintaining daily 5S and cleaning routines.

Responsibilities

• Review shipping documentation and packaging instructions to properly prepare orders for shipment.
• Ensure parts are adequately packaged to prevent damage during transit.
• Apply proper packaging and labeling methods as prescribed to protect and identify items during handling and shipment.
• Process shipments in SAP system and create customer portal entries as required.
• Inventory shipping supplies daily and reorder as needed; perform daily 5S and cleaning activities.
• Ensure paperwork and parts are correct; store material properly and file documentation.
• Meet customer requirements and expedite shipments while maintaining quality; support sales and on-time delivery objectives.
• Communicate with other functional groups to resolve issues and maintain teamwork.
