Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Cottage Grove, MN is seeking a Shipping Operator – Tier IV to cube out vans, load and unload, and operate PIT equipment while maintaining safety and accuracy in shipping processes. You will interpret MES/BAAN and related reports to determine routing and loading requirements, ensuring adherence to quality standards during all steps.

Responsibilities include cross-training, supporting resource planning, and building crates to industry standards.

Qualifications

• High diploma, GED or related education and work experience.
• Basic or intermediate computer skills.
• Knowledge of product, process and customer expectations within the value streams (upstream and downstream).
• Highly specialized knowledge of product and delivery requirements.
• Ability to read invoices, packing slips, emails and reports to determine correct location for delivery.
• Must be able to safely operate multiple types of PIT (Powered Industrial Truck).
• Have general knowledge of lockout/tagout.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to standard work, JBA¿s, control plans, work instructions and quality specifications.
• Works with support staff on keeping standard work documents current and relevant to defined output.
• Identify problems and implement fixes using AMS tools and standards for continuous improvement.
• Rotate through multiple duties (servicing lines, sorting, loading/unloading, cross-docking, transporting material).
• Provide training to other operators and work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Engineering, Maintenance, Fabrication, and Assembly.
• Cube out vans and ensure loads meet quality expectations.
• Build shipping crates to industry standards as needed.
• Follow loading/unloading processes; load units and material without damage.
