Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Shipping Clerk in Lancaster, PA to handle packing, labeling, and shipping for finished goods and materials. The role requires coordinating with Customer Service to ensure timely deliveries, maintaining accurate paperwork, and operating packaging equipment.

The incumbent will count and verify inventory, issue materials to manufacturing, and assist the Warehouse Supervisor as needed. A PA driver’s license and forklift/pallet stacker licenses are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2–5 years in a shipping department.
• Knowledge of shipping/receiving equipment such as foam packaging dispenser, stenciling machines, weight scales, banding machine and other small tools.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and fork-lift/pallet stacker licenses are required.
• Ability to read and write simple correspondence; basic math skills and accurate record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with Customer Service to ensure on-time delivery and appropriate shipment method.
• Prepare shipping documents and packing lists; manage weights and paperwork.
• Affix labels on boxes; stack cartons on skids and wrap as required.
• Schedule carriers and select cost-effective shipping options; issue materials.
• Operate packaging equipment and FEDEX Powership system for documentation.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and perform cycle counts in the warehouse.
• Process work orders, deliver materials to manufacturing, and resolve discrepancies.
