Job summary

Dura-Line, part of Orbia Connectivity Solutions, Gainesville, TX, is seeking a Shipping Manager to oversee shipping operations for at least one plant and possibly a second site. You will lead a team, ensure proper packaging, and drive on-time deliveries while coordinating with procurement, sales, customer service, and production.

The role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to optimize shipping processes to reduce costs and errors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in shipping, warehousing, and inventory.
• At least 3 years in a similar manufacturing role.
• Experience with shipping, purchasing, projects, and requisitions.
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, distribution, logistics, and delivery tracking processes.
• Strong organization, leadership, and employee performance management skills.
• Knowledge of safety practices and OSHA requirements.
• ERP/SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire shipping process from order fulfillment through delivery to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
• Train, qualify, and manage employee performance including safety observations.
• Develop shipping strategies and procedures to optimize cost, accuracy, and service.
• Coordinate with procurement, sales, customer service, and production to align activities with business needs.
• Manage carrier relationships, rates, service levels, and performance.
• Monitor KPIs and implement improvements to drive productivity and on-time delivery.
