Job summary

UTEX Industries is seeking a Shipping Lead to coordinate daily shipping operations, train Shipping Clerks, and ensure orders are prepared, documented, and shipped accurately and on time. You will work directly with the Shipping Supervisor and cross-functionally with Production, Planning, Quality, and Customer Service to resolve delays and maintain accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; manufacturing experience a plus.
• 3+ years of shipping, warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Previous lead or training experience preferred; strong organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prioritize daily shipping workload and scheduled shipments.
• Provide day-to-day direction and support to Shipping Clerks.
• Assist with scheduling freight, carrier pickups, and outbound shipments.
• Verify orders, quantities, packaging, labeling, and shipping documentation for accuracy.
• Prepare and review bills of lading, packing slips, shipping labels, and related documentation.
• Train and cross-train employees on shipping processes, systems, and safety procedures.
• Communicate shipment priorities or delays across departments and with the Shipping Supervisor.
