Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a Shipping Supervisor in Indiana to oversee daily shipping operations, supervise hourly staff, and coordinate with carriers and internal teams. The role emphasizes accuracy, on-time delivery, and continuous process improvements within warehouse/shipping operations.

Qualifications

• Requires university degree or equivalent with supervisory shipping experience.
• English and Spanish bilingual preferred.
• Experience in distribution center or warehouse shipping operations.
• Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with WMS/ERP and Oracle systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping operations to ensure on-time, accurate orders.
• Supervise and develop hourly shipping staff with labor coordination.
• Coordinate with carriers, brokers, and internal departments for shipments.
• Manage shipping-related inventory and materials, ensuring stock accuracy.
• Maintain shipping records and ensure compliance with safety/quality standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve shipping efficiency, cost control, and accuracy.
• Support wave planning and handling of expedited orders.
