Job summary

Smart Warehousing in Plainfield, Indiana, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to drive operational success in assigned area by maximizing labor efficiency and adhering to internal processes. This role emphasizes inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, task prioritization, and staff leadership to deliver exceptional service.

You will oversee daily activities, train and coach staff, manage timecards and productivity data, hire and onboard, and report performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of industry work experience; two years of warehouse experience with proven results; supply chain experience required.
• Advanced service, production, or supervisory role with greater responsibility.
• Personnel management and supervisory experience required.
• Prior experience of Domestic and International services within the logistics industry.
• Experience leveraging technology to perform daily tasks, including MS Office (Excel) and basic hardware.
• Prior use with PO system and inventory oversight for multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Drives teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met.
• Trains staff and monitors their performance, progress, and service levels.
• Handles general administrative duties like timecard management and productivity entries.
• Manages hiring, onboarding, daily supervision, performance reviews, promotions/demotions, coaching, and discipline.
• Identifies and develops bench strength for future opportunities as the organization grows.
• Ensures adherence to SOPs and processes to meet customer needs daily.
• Investigates and resolves customer concerns and general support inquiries.
• Oversees customer inventories, monitors orders and shipments.
• Strives to meet/exceed quality, delivery and budget objectives.
• Proposes warehouse operation improvements focusing on workflow, staffing, space, and equipment.
• Produces daily/weekly/monthly reports as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Operations Team.
