Job summary

Pratt Industries in Oklahoma City seeks a Shipping Supervisor to lead daily shipping operations, ensuring orders are loaded accurately, shipped on time, and handled safely. You will supervise the Shipping team, coordinate truck schedules, and work with Scheduling, Sales, and other departments to meet customer commitments.

You will oversee loading, coordinate with Logistics, attend daily meetings, and drive improvements in cost, quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in shipping, logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating transportation, truck schedules, or freight carriers preferred.
• Forklift or truck driving experience is a plus.
• Experience using shipping, inventory, ERP, or transportation systems preferred.
• Corrugated manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to build productive working relationships while maintaining accountability for safety, quality, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Shipping employees at plant and off-site warehouse to ensure safe, accurate, efficient daily operations.
• Oversee loading of finished products for accurate shipment.
• Coordinate transportation needs and delivery priorities with Logistics Manager.
• Attend daily scheduling meetings and coordinate customer requirements with Plant Scheduler.
• Conduct regular production and safety meetings with department personnel.
• Work with Sales and Customer Service to resolve delivery concerns and support on-time orders.
• Coordinate with other departments to support receipt and transport of orders.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance for forklifts and shipping equipment.
• Keep management informed of issues affecting shipping operations.
• Address performance and conduct per company policies.
• Build relationships with freight carriers and transportation partners.
• Review schedules and adjust to improve cost, quality, efficiency, and service.
• Support continuous improvement in Shipping department.
• Support safety, housekeeping, and operating standards.
