Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking a Plant Forklift Operator to safely operate and maintain forklifts within our plant.  You will inspect equipment, locate and move stock, and ensure accurate inventory and documentation throughout each shift.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid forklift operator license. Candidates with corrugated industry experience are preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
• Strong mathematical aptitude for percentages, volume, and rate concepts.
• Ability to follow written instructions and factory masters.

Responsibilities

• Operate and care for forklift safely and be qualified to operate it.
• Complete and document a forklift inspection before shift and when using a new forklift; report maintenance needs.
• Locate stock before starting run and deliver to machines safely and on time.
• Maintain neat, safe stock stacks and accurate stock location records.
• Adhere to production schedule and assist in optimizing it to meet cost, quality, delivery, and service goals.
