Sonoco Products Co. in Hartselle, AL is seeking a Material Handler (Shipping) to move and organize raw materials and finished reels. You will work with production, shipping, and inventory teams to ensure materials are delivered safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and willingness to work overtime. A high school diploma is preferred, with prior material handling experience considered a plus.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior material handling or warehouse experience a plus.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for 8 hours.
• Excellent attendance is crucial to ensure the team's success.
• Able to read and comprehend manufacturing instructions.

Responsabilidades

• Load, unload, and transport wood components and finished reels using forklifts and other equipment.
• Collaborate with production team members to facilitate product/material flow and achieve critical line metrics.
• Assist the plant in various areas.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the work area and department, as well as 5S standards.
• Ensure accurate documentation of quantities loaded or unloaded.
• Execute all tasks safely and efficiently.
• Conduct a daily inspection of the material handling equipment.
