Specialty Building Products (SBP) is hiring a 1st shift Material Handler at the Mobile, AL location to support shipping, receiving, and stocking warehouse material. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and efficient handling of goods in a values-based organization.

Responsibilities include unloading, order picking with a forklift, using WMS, and coordinating with sales to resolve shipping issues while maintaining safe weight distribution and daily safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1–2 years warehouse experience preferred.
• Neat and clean appearance.
• Proven ability to work as a member of a team.

Responsibilities

• Unload common carrier trucks and rail cars; replenish warehouse inventory.
• Pick orders using a forklift until filled.
• Report shortages or damaged material.
• Coordinate with sales when orders cannot be shipped as ordered.
• Use handheld scanner for receiving, picking, loading, and cycle counts (WMS).
• Collaborate with WMS Coordinator on questions and updates.
• Band, wrap and prepare material for shipping; arrange orders on trucks safely.
