Job summary

Idaho Pacific Holdings is seeking a Shipping Assistant to support the Shipping Manager and warehouse operations. You will help optimize the use of assets, ensure shipments meet company standards for packaging, palletization, and counts, and maintain accurate records in English.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily shipping, verifying bills of lading, maintaining inventory, and communicating across teams.

Qualifications

Administrative planning, resource allocation, leadership, and coordination of people.
Knowledge of shipping products over the road.
Excellent customer service and quality standards.
Knowledge of production and processing including quality control and distribution.
Good paperwork and basic math skills.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Ability to work with supervisors and staff; good people skills.
Ability to delegate duties when necessary.
Safety and quality conscious.
Forklift certified; operate equipment safely with no damage.

Responsibilities

Assign shipping and warehouse personnel work assignments; ensure all persons are performing work correctly and safely with consistent and thorough follow up.
Plan and coordinate shipments daily; plan ahead.
Ensure all loads are prepared for shipping safely and timely.
Verify labels, Bill of Lading, quantity, product and end-user.
Maintain warehouse and inventory to IPC standards at all times.
Responsible for the accuracy of all Bill of Lading, Code Sheets, shipping and inventory records; other records or labels as needed.
Responsible for the accuracy of all log books used for shipments and incoming supplies.
Must maintain good communication, both verbally and written, with all personnel involved in shipping or warehouse functions.
Sanitation, keep warehouse clean. Make sure all outgoing product is clean and without damage.
Become efficient in Navision for shipping and receiving.
Coordinate receiving of all UPS/FedEx packages. Assist in notifying appropriate departments upon arrival.
Responsible for writing work orders for equipment or warehouse repairs and maintenance.
Ensure the Company standard of oldest dates to ship first (first-in, first-out) are maintained.
Perform all other duties as assigned and keep manager informed of progress and/or problems of all projects.
