Job summary

Cengage Group is seeking a dependable Distribution Associate to safely and accurately ship product to customers from our Kentucky-based distribution center. You will perform domestic and international shipping duties, operate PIT equipment, and collaborate with drivers to manage Bills of Lading.

You will stage orders, build and wrap pallets, process full cases at induction, prepare UPS and FedEx shipments, and participate in cross-training across the distribution center.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age.
• Able to comprehend simple instructions.
• Must have legible handwriting.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Be flexible with work hours.
• Follow all safety practices and policies.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately ship product to customers.
• Process international and domestic shipments from the domestic shipping department using PIT equipment.
• Interact with truck drivers for loading freight and signing Bills of Lading.
• Stage cartons as designated by deliveries; QC/prep pallets to wrap.
• Build, wrap, load and stage orders for the customer; process full case at induction.
• Craft UPS and FedEx shipments; manage weights and relocations.
• Cross-train in various departments within the distribution center.
• Be committed to the team effort; perform other duties as assigned.
