Job summary

Rapak LLC is hiring a Shipping Clerk to manage daily outbound shipments from its Indianapolis site. You will prepare bills of lading, packing lists, labels, and customs paperwork when needed, and track deliveries with carriers.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and experience in shipping/logistics. Proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office is preferred, with strong attention to detail and communication skills essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse coordination.
• Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals (UPS, FedEx, etc.).
• Experience using ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and sit or stand for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, schedule, and monitor daily outgoing shipments to meet timelines.
• Prepare shipping documents such as bills of lading and packing lists.
• Communicate with carriers to arrange pickups and track deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with leaders across organizational levels.
• Verify and inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and packaging quality.
• Maintain accurate shipping records in inventory or ERP systems.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Warehouse, Production, and Quality to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and company policies.
• Monitor inventory levels of shipping supplies and request replenishment.
• Support warehouse functions such as receiving and order fulfillment when necessary.
• Participate in audits and assist with process improvements.
• Assist with customer service tasks as needed.
• Crosstrain in all warehouse functions.
