Job summary

Brook + Whittle in New Albany, Indiana is seeking a Shipping Clerk to join our operations team. This full‑time role handles sorting, packing, labeling, and processing shipments, including international and special‑requirement orders, and coordinating with customers or logistics partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–3 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to perform single-function tasks of moderate size and scope.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions; read, interpret and create simple correspondence and memos.
• Present information one-on-one and in small groups.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer operations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Sort and package orders and process shipments accurately.
• Coordinate truck shipments with customers or logistics companies.
• Process international and special‑requirement shipments using the internet.
• Utilize quality‑assurance principles to ensure accuracy of each order.
• Package and label orders per customer specifications.
• Move packed boxes onto conveyors or pallets; lift up to 50 lb as needed.
