Job summary

Farwest Steel Corporation is hiring a Shipping Clerk to perform tasks related to the shipping of materials. The role is full-time and onsite in the Western United States area, with a day shift from 6:00am to 2:30pm. Wage ranges from $21.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities include coordinating trucks, preparing bills of lading, and communicating with Sales and Warehouse staff. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years shipping experience and proficiency with PC

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
2 years in shipping department or related applicable experience.
Must be detail-oriented with ability to multitask.
Proficient with personal computers, word processing, spreadsheets, email.
Previous customer service experience and knowledge of Lean and Kaizen preferred.

Responsibilities

Schedule company trucks.
Coordinate in-bound carrier schedules and communicate with warehouse staff.
Prepare bill of ladings and handle outbound loads.
Manage driver dispatch and data entry for shipments.
Coordinate with Operations to optimize shipping and inter-department efficiencies.
Assist in staff training and participate in cross-department projects.
