Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Shipping Coordinator for the 1st shift (8am-4:00pm) at our manufacturing site in Georgia. The role reports to the Production Control Manager and focuses on coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, driver activities, and shipping desk scheduling within our JDE-based workflow.

Responsibilities include coordinating schedules, obtaining quotes, handling receiving duties in JDE, and ensuring accurate paperwork.

Qualifications

High School diploma and 2–4 years in manufacturing/shipping environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
Strong analytical and math skills.
Able to work in a cross‑functional team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

Schedule, process paperwork, and communicate with drivers for inbound/outbound shipments.
Coordinate shipping employees to meet ongoing shipping needs.
Obtain quotes and lead times; schedule truck accordingly.
File and process shipping claims or discrepancies.
Handle receiving responsibilities and enter receipts into JDE.
Verify orders and deliveries against purchase orders; identify and resolve differences.
Support daily production and work with leadership on problem solving.
Prepare and control records, statistics, and reports as needed.
Collaborate with production and distribution teams to standardize processes and reduce waste.
