Job summary

Atkore International in Cartersville, GA, is seeking a Shipping Coordinator for 1st shift (8am-4:00pm) to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments within a manufacturing setting. You will support scheduling, driver coordination, and shipping desk tasks, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processes.

Responsibilities include entering receipts in JDE, verifying deliveries, and collaborating with production to meet schedules while maintaining records and reporting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 2–4 years in manufacturing/shipping
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel
• Strong analytical and math skills
• Team oriented and able to work cross-functionally
• Excellent organizational and communications skills

Responsibilities

• Schedule, process paperwork, and coordinate with drivers for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Coordinate scheduling of shipping employees to meet ongoing shipping needs.
• Obtain quotes and lead times, schedule appropriate trucks.
• File and process shipping claims or logistics discrepancies.
• Handle receiving responsibilities and enter receipts into JDE.
• Verify orders against delivery receipts and purchase orders; document differences.
• Support daily production and collaborate with leadership on problem solving.
• Prepare and maintain records, statistics, and reports as requested.
• Work with production and distribution teams to standardize processes and reduce waste.
• Provide ad hoc reporting for production, inventory, quality, and compliance.
