Job summary

Kloeckner Metals Corporation is seeking a Shipping & Transportation Coordinator to oversee the plant's distribution, ensuring timely and cost-efficient delivery of inventory and finished goods in collaboration with production and sales.

You will process shipping documents, organize routes, coordinate outbound shipments, and communicate with shippers and customers to resolve issues while monitoring department productivity and providing leadership when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years in an administrative support role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Process bills of lading, shipping documents, freight bills, and related paperwork.
• Maintain organized shipping office, stocked with supplies.
• Develop and organize shipping routes to reduce costs.
• Coordinate outbound shipments with sales and production.
• Liaise with shippers, carriers, and customers to expedite deliveries.
• Communicate delivery schedules with production and sales teams.
• Monitor shipping department productivity and adherence to standards.
• Provide leadership in absence of Traffic Manager or Shipping Supervisor.
• Perform other duties to support shipping and transportation operations.
