True Story Foods, a family-owned producer of organic deli meats, is seeking a Shipping Clerk in Hayward, CA. The role focuses on accurate, timely shipment and receipt, coordinating with logistics teams, and maintaining records. AM shift, $25–$30/hour, full-time.

You’ll support daily operations, prepare shipping docs, and ensure high customer service standards. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and proficiency with ERP/WMS or similar systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in shipping, logistics, warehouse operations, customer service, or related field.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and organization.
• Experience with ERP/WMS or third-party logistics platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with logistics, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure seamless daily operations and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate delivery and pickup appointments through the dock scheduling system to support efficient operations.
• Prepare and process shipping documents.
• Schedule outbound shipments and monitor delivery status to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Coordinate daily logistics activities with carriers, 3PLs, warehouse teams, and customer service.
• Prepare and transmit Advance Ship Notices (ASNs) to customers or trading partners within required timelines.
• Verify ASN information against orders and shipment records.
• Monitor ASN acknowledgments and resolve shipment or EDI-related discrepancies.
• Track shipment milestones and communicate delays or changes to stakeholders.
• Respond to shipment inquiries and provide updates to customers and team members.
• Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records and inventory data.
• Maintain shipping logs and update shipment information in internal systems.
• Verify driver credentials and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Scan, upload, and organize shipping documents for recordkeeping.
• Receive, stock, and organize products to keep the warehouse organized.
• Make shipping labels for sales samples and DTC shipments.
• Assist with shipping and receiving and support during peak periods.
