Job summary
QuestSpecialty in Wayne, MI is seeking a Shipping Clerk to coordinate the preparation, packaging, and dispatch of products to meet customer orders and delivery schedules. You will ensure shipping documents are accurate and comply with company policies, using barcode scanning to track inventory and maintain records.
The role requires a high school diploma, shipping/receiving experience, proficiency with electric pallet jacks and forklift, and forklift certification.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (minimum).
- Experience shipping/receiving in manufacturing/warehouse.
- Able to operate electric pallet jacks, pallet jacks and forklift.
- Basic knowledge of bar code tech and inventory systems.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and labels.
- Must be able to obtain forklift certification.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and package products for shipment per company standards and customer specs.
- Operate electric pallet jacks, pallet jacks, and forklift to move and track inventory.
- Verify shipping documents (bills of lading, packing lists) for accuracy.
- Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to fulfill orders via order picking and filling.
- Maintain accurate shipment and inventory records using barcode scanning.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for quality and safety compliance.
- Communicate with carriers to schedule pickups and resolve shipping issues.
- Assist with general warehouse duties to support operations.
