Job summary

Central Transport in Norcross, GA is seeking an operations leader to oversee outbound freight for a 150-door facility. You will manage loading, forklift traffic, and palletized freight while coordinating up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to meet production goals.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, excellent communication, and a technology-driven mindset, with experience in transportation or cross-docking, and a degree preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation, cross docking, or shipping/receiving.
• Familiar with customs and cross-border transportation.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• High aptitude for technology and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee outbound operations for a 150-door facility and designated dock area.
• Manage loading, forklift traffic, and palletized freight sorting.
• Direct up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel toward production goals.
• Use independent judgement to build loads based on labor and freight levels.
• Ensure trailer cube/weight loads meet requirements and safety standards.
• Provide leadership and accountability to drivers, dock workers, and dock hands.
• Monitor dock production and KPI performance; manage hours and overtime.
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with DOT/OSHA standards.
