Job summary

Atlantic Diving Supply, Inc. in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Shipping Specialist to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. You will supervise shipping and packaging operations and maintain high quality and compliance standards.

The role requires 2–5 years of warehouse/receiving experience, leadership, and familiarity with international shipping and carriers. The team collaborates with warehouse, logistics, and customer service to deliver essential equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree in supply chain or logistics is a plus.
• Two to five years of warehouse or receiving experience, plus prior leadership experience.
• Experience with international shipping and export compliance.
• Experience with commercial carriers (UPS, FedEx, LTL).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor shipping and packaging performance.
• Inspect outgoing shipments for quality and accuracy.
• Coordinate carrier pickups and dock operations; resolve shipping issues.
• Maintain shipping documentation (bills of lading, packing lists, labels).
• Oversee inventory levels for shipping supplies and perform reconciliations.
• Enforce safety protocols and standard operating procedures in shipping.
• Investigate shipment discrepancies, damages, or delays.
• Train and coach shipping staff to maintain standards and efficiency.
• Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and customer service teams for seamless operations.
