Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations within the shipping department, including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment
• Coordinate daily schedules and priorities to maintain steady workflow and ensure on-time deliveries
• Supervise, train and schedule team members
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations (e.g. OSHA) and company policies
• Monitor performance metrics and improve workflow efficiency
• Meet or exceed the customer’s expectations
• Participate in a wide variety of other projects and tasks as assigned or requested

Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, production or distribution environment.
• Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role
• Strong ability to motivate teams and drive performance
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written and communication skills in the English language
• Experience with WMS software and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
• Forklift operator certification or experience with material handling equipment, preferred.
• Communicate clearly with outside shipping vendors: UPS, FedEx, Spee-Dee, Dayton Freight, etc.
• Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and manage time-sensitive, high-pressure situations
• Role requires standing, lifting, walking, sitting, bending, pulling, and reaching throughout shift as needed
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Follow all directives of the Shipping Manager
