Job summary

PLA is seeking a Shipping Team Leader in Midlothian, TX to support daily shipping operations, coordinate work, and guide the team toward safety, quality, productivity, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

This hands-on role includes coordinating work assignments, creating shipments, managing inventory transactions, supporting trailer movement, training team members, and ensuring processes are completed accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily work assignments to meet department goals and oversee preventative maintenance on fleet trailers.
• Create and verify shipments, and manage container categories and dispositions.
• Ensure timely movement of trailers and accurate inventory transactions in the system.
• Train new Material Handler I and II employees in essential duties and functions.
• Assist management in enforcing PLA policies and procedures and support safety practices.
