Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a manufacturing associate in Manitowoc, Wisconsin to supervise and coordinate value‑stream activities. You will assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure operators are aligned with work orders and quality checks, while supporting lean initiatives and daily audits.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED; additional education preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Able to speak and share information in a group setting.
  • Sound decision-making skills.
  • Good math, reading and writing skills.
  • Ability to exercise continuous mental, visual and audio attention.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills (CAR/PAR/8D).

Responsibilities

  • Assign, monitor, delegate assignments and react to activities throughout the value stream supporting job rotations.
  • Ensure that Team Improvement boards, Day by Hour boards, etc. are completely filled out on an hourly/daily basis.
  • Ensure productivity by fielding questions, ensuring operators are on track and understand work assignments.
  • Serve as liaison between the VS Team Leader and Leadership regarding work assignments and projects.
  • Regularly lead Kaizen or other problem‑solving events.
  • Participate actively in the layered audit process conducting daily audits.
  • Ensure all team members are performing and documenting quality checks based on department procedures.
  • Delegate work assignments, maintain kiosk boards, and report out on activities within the value stream.
  • Fill in for operators during meetings or cover absences as needed.
  • Cross‑train within multiple areas to create flexibility and understanding.
  • Accountable for VS metrics such as Safety, Quality, LISC, Scrap, and Units per Labor Hour.
  • Responsible for training, including working with team members to develop and maintain their Skills Matrix.
  • Facilitate weekly team meetings and lead Safety Toolbox talks.
  • Other duties may be assigned at a later time.
  • Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures to eliminate risk to health and the environment; notify leadership of unsafe conditions or practices and report all safety and/or environmental incidents immediately.
  • Participate in peer‑based teams and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5‑S.
