Shipping Lead, Full-Time

Shifts: M-F 8:30am-5:00pm

Job Purpose

A Shipping Lead is a supportive and passionate shipping expert who strengthens a team of Warehouse Shipping Ambassadors to maximize their skills, knowledge, and abilities. Furthermore, they support and encourage the team to pursue opportunities that surprise & delight the customers’ and Brand Ambassadors’ needs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team within the Shipping Department to fulfill orders in a timely manner while providing outstanding service and experience for Brand Ambassadors and Customers.
  • Align with management on the daily goals for orders shipped and coordinate the shipping team to meet those goals
  • Ensure the pick lines are full of products and back stock as needed
  • Work cross functionally with other Operations departments to ensure that business needs are met
  • Assign daily job functions for shipping team members (pick, pack, ship)
  • Pick, pack, and ship Red Aspen products to fulfill orders
  • Identify the proper product and quantity on order pack slip – striving for 100% accuracy in items picked
  • Securely pack based on internal packaging guidelines
  • Ship orders using internal shipping software
  • Assist with special warehouse kitting assignments as needed
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with shipping technology, including warehouse management software, label printers, and shipping systems, to ensure seamless order fulfillment.

Qualifications:

  • 6 months of warehouse experience
  • Proven experience building relationships and organizing a team
  • Ability to work effectively with other teams
  • Ability to manage small projects personally and work independently
  • Ability to make decisions on box size and packaging with the least cost to the company while maintaining product integrity
  • Organizational skills and detail-oriented with a quality mindset
  • Ability to work within a deadline under pressure and handle interruptions
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, climb ladders, reach overhead, and lift up to 30 to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to work at a computer station and view a computer screen for extended periods of time
  • Ability to frequently bend, squat, stand, walk, push and pull, reach above shoulder level, have both arms and legs accessible and perform manual dexterity
  • Ability to occasionally climb and kneel
  • Working knowledge of computers and all applicable software including Microsoft Office products
  • Must have a love for tacos or sushi!
