Job summary

FOX Factory is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Associate in Baxter, MN to support the shipping team and ensure accurate, timely product movement. You will maintain records, verify bills of lading, and assist with loading operations in a production/manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma, 2+ years in a warehouse setting, proficiency with MS Office and Excel, and the ability to read and write English while managing multiple tasks safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• HS graduate or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience documenting shipping records and using internal computer systems.

Position Summary

Leads and assists shipping department workers with shipping activities.

Position Responsibilities

• Keeps records on incoming shipments.
• Monitors incoming shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
• Verifies accuracy of shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records.
• Consults with management to clarify department priorities, identify problems, and suggest changes for improvement.
• Determines shipping priorities and shipping methods required to meet shipping schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, and seals loaded boxcars and truck doors.
• Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair.
• Directs movement of shipments from shipping area to storage and/or work areas.
• Compiles records of unfilled orders and posts weight and shipping charges.
• Prepares required department records and reports.
• Recommends measures to improve productivity, equipment performance, and quality of service, and suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency.
• Trains and assists workers in shipping and receiving activities.

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

• Proficiency in MS Office applications, strong Excel knowledge
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Detail oriented and capable of multi-tasking.
• Able to work alone or with others to complete tasks.
• Able to read/write English.

Position Qualifications

• Education: HS graduate or equivalent required.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in a warehouse environment using record keeping and internal computer systems to access and document shipping records preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Production/Manufacturing environment.
• Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs. on regular basis.
• Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer.
