Job summary

Westlake Pipe & Fittings is seeking a Shipping Operator to identify, safely handle, store, and place product after inspection. Coordinate with QA to move production to inventory, and assist with loading finished goods onto trailers.

The role requires familiarity with yard layout, product specs, and forklift operation. You will help with load preparation, inventory counts, and unloading raw materials as needed by the Shipping Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic arithmetic.
• Basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office.
• Communication skills and ability to work with operators, shift leaders and office personnel.

Responsibilities

• Operate an industrial forklift to lift, stack, or tier products for storage yard and warehouse operations.
• Assist Shipping Operator duties and perform cycle counts.
• Load outbound shipments safely and accurately onto trailers; unload inbound shipments.
• Maintain accurate inventory and pick lists for load checking and ship confirmation.
• Follow company policies and ensure safe, organized, and orderly storage of product.
