Job summary

Peco Foods, Inc. is seeking a PIT Operator II- Shipping to operate stand-up counter balance and deep reach forklifts in a warehouse setting. You will handle receiving, put-away, picking and shipping of goods, while maintaining inventory accuracy and adhering to SOPs.

The role requires compliance with safety protocols, ability to work in cold conditions, and flexibility for weekends and night shifts. Knowledge of USDA requirements is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up counter balance forklifts and stand-up deep reach forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Receive and put away inbound freight according to SOPs.
• Pick and ship outbound freight according to SOPs.
• Maintain warehouse and equipment per USDA requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory following SOPs.
• Perform required inventory functions as needed.

Job Title: PIT Operator II- Shipping

Job Summary: This position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating stand-up counter balance forklifts and stand-up deep reach forklifts while performing all functions associated with the warehouse.

Essential Job Functions/Duties:

• Abide by all safety protocols to assure a safe workplace
• Perform all functions related to receiving and putting away inbound freight by properly following established SOPs
• Perform all functions related to picking and shipping outbound freight by properly following established SOPs
• Maintain the warehouse and equipment in a manner that abides by all USDA requirements
• Maintain an accurate warehouse inventory by following all established SOPs
• Perform necessary inventory functions when required

Physical/Mental Requirements

• Must be able to stand/walk 100% of the work day.
• Gripping and repetitive use of hands.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, and climb steps.
• Must be comfortable working in organic conditions.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds repetitively
• Ability to work at heights when necessary

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years operating stand-up counter balance forklifts and stand-up deep reach forklifts in a cold storage or large-scale distribution center.
