Malibu Wellness Inc. seeks a Shipping Specialist in Indianapolis to assist in packing and shipping customer orders from the Small Pack department.

You will review orders for accuracy, ensure timely shipments, and collaborate with the Logistics Manager for scheduling and data integrity in DataNinja. Responsibilities include leading daily tasks, pre-shift huddles, maintaining documentation, and supporting inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack inventory (Small Pack) as listed on orders received from the Customer Fulfillment Department for Malibu Wellness customers
• Pack inventory carefully and in a manner to avoid damages in transit
• Review pulled orders as 1st, 2nd, or 3rd count as necessary to assure accuracy of orders
• Review due dates and shipment options to ensure cost-effectiveness and timeliness of customer orders
• Work closely with Logistics Manager to assure that all orders in DataNinja are accounted for within the Shipping Department
• For shipments in the freight area, provide all completed order information to the Logistics Manager for scheduling shipments
• Prepare all shipments to be ready for pick up at the appropriate time as indicated by the carrier
• Complete all necessary steps in preparing orders for customers with specific shipping instructions and needs
• Lead team members in daily tasks, aligning team members with the targeted goals and providing generalized guidance
• Runs pre-shift huddles to review previous day performance, set quotas, address issues, and prepare the team
• Completes a daily operational checklist at the end of each shift, documenting open orders, daily goals, and resolutions
• Post daily order processes on a visible whiteboard for team transparency
• Partners with Logistics Manager and Plant Manager regarding area reporting and regular updates to leadership
• Back-up other team members in their respective area during absences and vacations
• Pick, pack and ship outgoing small pack shipments as needed
• Receive incoming small pack shipments including daily US Mail
• Crosstrain as back-up to another shipping area
• Assist in research of any and all errors and damages
• Assist in organization of warehouse and policy improvements
• Work with the Inventory Manager to maintain accuracy in inventory
• Communicate with Customer Support & Fulfillment Manager on order changes
• Notify Senior Warehouse Manager of potential backorders
• Pick, pack, and ship customer orders within 24 to 48 hours
• Re-stock empty bins with inventory released from Production
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Assist Logistics Manager with projects
• Attend monthly staff huddles
• Participate in annual cycle counts
• Participate in performance evaluation with supervisor at year end
