Job description

We're building an amazing team of individuals.

• Mid Shift - Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Mid Shift #2 - Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Sun 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Morning Shift - Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri 4:30 AM to 1:00 PM

Looking for a job? Look elsewhere.

Looking for a craft — at a place where your brain, your standards, and your work ethic actually matter? Read on.

We're Laudisi — the people behind Smokingpipes.com, Peterson of Dublin, Caldwell Cigars, and a handful of other brands you've probably never heard of (but our customers are obsessed with). We ship hundreds of orders a day to people who notice everything. These aren't shoppers hitting "buy now" on impulse. They're enthusiasts who spent time researching, comparing, and choosing. They remember details. They'll email us about packaging.

Your role? You’re the last line between a carefully chosen order and a customer who notices every detail.

WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY DO:

Pull, pack, and ship orders with the kind of accuracy that makes people write reviews like, "I ordered 100 different items and there wasn’t a single mistake. How?"

That’s the standard. Every order. Every day.

You’ll also:

• Receive 30 minute lunch breaks, and two 15 minute breaks
• Accurately weigh, package, and label loose tobacco to tight standards
• Keep the shipping area organized when things slow down
• Work as part of a team that cares about the details
• Use web-based scheduling software to manage your schedule and shipping tasks

YOU’LL THRIVE HERE IF:

You’re not looking for easy. You’re looking for right.

You show up on time because that’s what professionals do. You pay attention because the details matter. When something’s off, it bothers you — and you fix it instead of walking past it. You don’t need someone standing over your shoulder to do good work; you do it because anything less pisses you off.

You don’t just want to be good at this. You want to be the person your team relies on. The one who doesn’t drop the ball. The one that makes everyone else’s job easier because you handled your part right.

This is a landing pad, not a parking lot. People who excel here don’t stay stuck; they grow into lead roles, inventory and operations positions, and other parts of the business as they demonstrate judgment and initiative.

YOU CAN EXPECT:

• Compensation and benefits : Competitive compensation; health, dental, and vision insurance; six paid holidays; generous PTO; 401(k) with 1:1 match up to 4% and no vesting period.
• Perks: casual dress (jeans and t‑shirts), tuition reimbursement, referral bonuses, year‑end bonuses, fresh fruit daily, paid luncheons, and regular company events.
• Growth: real opportunities to take on more responsibility as you master the work, improve processes, and show you can own outcomes—not just tasks.
• Culture: a passionate group of “Laudisians” who like the products, like the customers, and like working with other people who actually care.
• Reality check: we work around tobacco and smoke; many of us are enthusiasts. You’ll often be in smoking areas, so you’ll need to be comfortable with that.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

While experience in shipping, warehouse, logistics or a related field would be nice, what we’re really looking for is:

• A real intolerance for sloppiness — when something’s off, you notice and you fix it.
• Reliability: on time, on site, able to work days and some weekends.
• Ability to stay organized, follow procedures, and maintain a clean workspace.
• Curiosity about pipes, cigars, or really any other “deep hobby” worlds where the minutiae really matter.
• Comfort being on your feet and lifting up to 30 lbs regularly.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a criminal background check.

THE BOTTOM LINE:

This job isn’t for everyone. It’s for people who take pride in doing things right, who get frustrated when standards slip, and who want to be part of a team that actually holds the line.

But if you want to be part of something where your effort matters, where quality isn’t negotiable, and where showing up means actually showing up?

We’re building something here. Come help us build it right.

Applicants being considered must pass a criminal background check. Our hiring and employment practices are based solely on job related criteria, and we do not discriminate on the basis of any characteristic protected by law.
