Qualifications

• 2+ years in admin/clerical roles supporting dispatch or shipping.
• Onsite presence with reliable attendance.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and detail orientation.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient Excel and quick system learning.

Responsabilités

• Schedule transportation to maximize on-time deliveries and optimize equipment use.
• Coordinate truck loads with common carriers based on availability and cost.
• Maintain a shipping appointment schedule and coordinate with departments to optimize output.
• Ensure accurate paperwork across pick tickets, billing, and certifications.
• Expedite shipments per sales or customer requests.
• Back-up to office staff for receiving, scheduling, and billing related to special steels and 3rd party shipments.
• Investigate rail shipments, demurrage, and 3rd party material paperwork.
