Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Forklift Operator - Shipping in Mooresville, NC to move and load units safely, perform quality checks, and support warehouse operations in a fast-paced packaging facility.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, forklift certification with 3–5 years’ experience, and fluency in English. Background check and drug screen are required. Training and competitive pay are included.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification with 3–5 years forklift experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Must read, write and speak English fluently; basic math skills may be required.

Responsibilities

• Move units to warehouse and load onto machines or trucks safely.
• Ensure units are banded properly with visible load tags and secure straps intact.
• Perform last visual quality inspection and maintain accurate unit and truck counts.
• Understand FIFO to prevent inventory aging and unload incoming material as needed.
