Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Rural Hall, NC is seeking a Material Handler to efficiently move materials between Manufacturing, outside Suppliers, and Assembly Plants to support production and customer shipments. You will operate Electric Pallet Jacks, Forklifts, and other MHE, complete daily checklists, and maintain safe, accurate inventory.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, forklift experience, and strong English fluency.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years of sit-down forklift experience.
Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain on hire.
One+ year of warehouse clerk experience preferred.
English fluency (speaking and writing) required.
Basic computer literacy preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate Electric Pallet Jacks, Forklifts, Stand-up Reach Trucks, and Sit-down Swing Reach Trucks.
Complete daily checklist on Material Handling Equipment before shift.
Ensure safety equipment and devices are in place and working.
Unload inbounds, warehouse materials, supply production lines and load outbound shipments.
Check trailers for safety and proper unitization of materials.
Maintain accurate inventory and perform daily cycle counts.
Assist other areas to maintain a team approach.
Safety and cleanliness of equipment and area are priorities.
