Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our team in a full-time role. The position involves safe operation of forklifts, handling stock, and ensuring accurate inventory records in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform shift start inspections, maintain organized storage areas, and document all activities with attention to detail. This role requires basic math, punctuality, and adherence to safety standards. Overtime and weekend work may occur as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
• At least 6 months experience operating a sit-down forklift in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely and efficiently to move stock and remove finished goods from machines.
• Complete and document forklift inspection at start of shift; notify supervisor if repairs are needed.
• Maintain neat, orderly, and safe stacks of stock in storage areas.
• Complete necessary reporting accurately and timely.
• Maintain accurate stock locations using the computer-based inventory system.
• Adhere to daily production schedules and suggest improvements to meet cost, quality, delivery, and service goals.
• Comply with company policies and safety procedures; maintain good housekeeping.
