Position Summary:
- Transport incoming freight to inventory from staging areas for storage in the appropriate slots, on the multi-level racks in the assigned warehouse area.
- Replenish / re-stock pick slots in a timely manner, ensuring all safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and quality standards are met.
- Maintain the efficient flow of the production process.
- Work as a team member within the department and organization, performing any duties assigned to best serve the company.
Responsibilities include:
- Follow all work methods, safety policies, and procedures per company guidelines.
- Ensure work area safety and report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Review work schedule, perform safety checks on equipment, and prepare for operations.
- Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
- Meet productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
- Work from computer print-outs, established procedures, and instructions.
- Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock items.
- Remove and properly store empty pallets, cardboard, and strapping; inspect pallets for damage.
- Use pallet jacks or forklifts to move pallets to proper storage areas.
- Perform general housekeeping duties.
- Manage forklift batteries, including recharging and inspection.
- Secure equipment and complete paperwork at shift end.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- 6 months to 1 year of warehouse/distribution work experience.
- Ability to work scheduled hours and overtime.
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly during shift.
- Ability to lift 10-30 pounds regularly, up to 80 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
- Pass pre-employment drug test.
