Job summary

Bob’s Discount Furniture is seeking a Shipping Equipment Operator in Solon, OH to accurately pick products from Distribution Center locations and stage them at loading areas. You will safely operate a cherry picker lift up to 40 ft and use RF scanners to identify and move goods to designated locations.

Required experience includes forklift or cherry picker operation, comfort with heights, and willingness to work weekends.

Here’s What You Will Be Doing

• The Shipping Equipment Operator is responsible for accurately picking product from the designated locations throughout the Distribution Center and staging the product at the proper loading areas. The operators utilize a cherry picker style lift and RF scanners in order to successfully complete their duties.


• Safely operate a Cherry Picker lift up to 40ft. in the air.


• Utilize RF scanners in order to identify and locate product.


• Load staged product from storage racks onto cherry picker lift.


• Move product from lift into proper location in the loading area.


• Cooperate with team members to complete tasks and set goals


• Contribute to a company culture that champions honesty, integrity, diversity, and community


• All other duties as assigned

This Is What You Will Need

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a Warehouse atmosphere


• Must have experience operating forklift and/or cherry picker equipment.


• Comfortable with heights up to 40ft. in the air.


• Must be able to work flexible hours as determined by the needs of the department, which includes availability for weekends


• Must be able to pass physical assessment with a push or pull requirement up to 250 lbs.


• Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position.
