Job summary

Bob’s Discount Furniture is seeking a Utility Equipment Operator to support Shipping & Receiving, operate RF units, and use Industrial Lift Equipment to move products within the warehouse.

You will work in a fast-growing retailer environment with safety as a priority, handling up to 50 lb items and collaborating with a team to meet distribution goals. Competitive hourly wages apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to operate industrial lift equipment and RF units.
• Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for employment with Bob’s.

• Ensure full compliance of all safety programs both while operating and not operating material handling equipment.

Job Title Utility Equipment Operator Job Overview

This position will require a knowledge of both Shipping & Receiving processes. Flexibility in job assignments as well as the versatility to work both equally well. In addition, the skill to operate Lift Equipment, RF units, and physical skills to lift or push / pull substantial product weight.

Other duties include:

• Pick up product from Staging Area and off load onto Rack Shelving units, Floor locations, or Stack Racks
• Pick up product from Rack Shelving Units, Floor locations, or Stack Racks and off load onto Dock / Bay area
• When placing product accurately scan all merchandise utilizing RF gun
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Ensure full compliance of all safety programs both while operating and not operating material handling equipment
• All other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, push and handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance. Ability to move throughout all areas of the distribution center. Move objects up to 250 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations Stand and walk continuously to perform job functions.
